Rays having their way with Yankees
Rays take first two from the Yankees!
The Tampa Bay Rays won their second straight Saturday afternoon in the Bronx beating the Yankees 6-4 after a 13-4 romping Friday night. Andy Pettite looked sub par and while the Rays Jackson didn't look great, he looked good enough for the win. Jonny Gomes was the goat and the hero in this one, jacking a 3 run HR as well as dropping a routine pop fly in right field. In his first at bat he sent a high fly ball to right field, a ball which he thought was out of the park, so he began his HR trot, ignoring his first base coach. The ball bounced off the top of the wall and Bobby Abreu threw it in and Gomes was tagged out rounding first base. The series continues Sunday and Monday.

Shields vs Wang on Sunday should be a great match up. Both are 1-0 with a 2.57 era.

Look for the Yankees to take advantage of an unproven Rays pitcher on Monday in Hammels.
